How do I get to Dominion Beach from the Airport?

Directions to Dominion Beach.
When leaving Malaga airport, follow signs for Cadiz, then Algeciras. Take the new motorway toll road (E15) which will bring you almost to San Pedro Alcántara.

Leave the motorway here taking the 'San Pedro' exit and then continue south to the N340 coast road and follow the signs to Estepona, this will ensure that you are on the right road.

The red and white kilometre signs you will see regularly along the road are to help you find your way, so you can count down the kilometres which you have left to drive.

Dominion Beach is located on the beach side of the N340 road at kilometre number 161, (km 161). You have to drive beyond the complex about 1 kilometre further, (you are on the wrong side of the road), and look for a 'cambio de sentido' sign, (immediately after the red 'km 160' sign), which means under/overpass in Spanish.

Shortly before your turning you will pass a large sign to 'Selwo', the wild animal safari park on your right hand side. Carry on until you see the 'Acadarbol' office, then immediately take the exit ramp down from the main road, which takes you under the road towards Laguna Village, so that you can return on the other side to enter Dominion Beach.

Make sure you are travelling on the inside lane slowly, because you need to pull off onto the slip road which leads into Dominion Beach entrance. Dominion Beach entrance is on your right hand side opposite a single storey white building with 'FleurenHof.com' in large purple letters on the wall.

Once you are at the Security cabin, at the entrance, if the guard is not there, he is doing is rounds. If you need help, there is a button on the side of the cabin which you can push and speak to him. He will then know that you are waiting for him to return.

It is really straightforward, there is really only this one coastal road and with the kilometre number you really cannot go far wrong.

How do I get to Hacienda Beach from the Airport?

Directions to Hacienda Beach
When leaving Malaga airport, follow signs for Cadiz, then Algeciras, take the new motorway toll road (E15), which will bring you nearly to San Pedro.

Leave the motorway here taking the 'San Pedro' exit and then continue south to the N340 coast road and follow the signs to Estepona, this will ensure that you are on the right road.

Hacienda Beach is located on the beach side of the N340 road at kilometre number 163, (km 163).

These kilometre signs you will see regularly along the road to help you find your way, so you can count down the kilometres which you have left to drive.

You have to drive past the Hacienda Beach complex for about another 2 kilometres, (you are on the wrong side of the road) and look for a 'cambio de sentido' sign, (immediately after the red 'km 160' sign), which means under/overpass in Spanish.

Shortly before your turning you will pass a large sign to 'Selwo', the wild animal safari park on your right hand side. Carry on until you see the 'Acadarbol' office, then immediately take the exit ramp down from the main road, which takes you under the road towards Laguna Village, so that you can return to the main road on the other side

You will pass Dominion Beach on your right hand side opposite a single storey white building with 'FleurenHof.com' in large purple letters on the wall and you will see in the distance a metal pedestrian only bridge spanning the road.

The slip road for Hacienda Beach is directly underneath this bridge, so make sure you are travelling on the inside lane. Go to the end of this slip road, where you will find the Reception area for the complex is on your right hand side.

It is really straightforward, there is really only this one coastal road and with the kilometre number you really cannot go far wrong. Is there a map of how to get there?

The Google map is not very good here but I have made a map giving you indications of where the developments are: Click here for Google Maps

I'm afraid since it is a rural area, with only private housing complexes, post codes don't count for much. I am sure you will have a map in your hire car and in the apartment you will find a simple map which we have done to take you between San Pedro and Estepona port, showing shops and restaurants etc.

Is there car parking?

Yes, in both Dominion Beach and Hacienda Beach.

Is there a children's pool and do lifeguards supervise the swimming area?

Yes, there is a children's pool and there is life guard supervision in the summer months.
